Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor brings back the original taste of this chickpea curry dish called Chole. This special spice mix is a unique blend of coriander, cumin, pomegranate seeds, dry mango powder, black salt, red chili powder and other spices. Make this dish in less than 10 minutes with 1 can of cooked chickpeas, ginger paste, garlic paste, tomato puree and fresh green chillies.
Directions to use:
1.Heat four tbsps of ghee in a pan, fry one finely sliced onion till golden brown.
2.Add two tbsps, of ginger, garlic and green chilli paste. Cook for a minute, add one cup of tomato puree and cook for five minutes.
3.Add two cups of cooked chickpeas and two cups of water and cook for another five minutes.Add salt to taste.
4.Add 2 tbsps of Khazana Chole Masala and cook till the desired consistency is reached.
5.Remove from heat, sprinkle one tbsp of Khazana Chole Masala, heat two tbsps of ghee or oil till it smokes and pour this over the sprinkled masala and cover immediatley, mix and garnish with fried green chillies and sliced tomatoes.
